Protest against the Monitoring Committee’s

1st meeting of the Monitoring Committee chaired by ADM was organised at the Forest Rest House in Akpa. The locals had strongly resented the committee and demanded its dissolution. People from the six affected Panchayats and the nearby areas marched and protested outside the meeting venue.

Several discrepancies were noted in the meeting such as the walkout by some representatives from the meeting resulting in more agitation amongst the protestors. The protesters were then invited to be part of the meeting and the public opinion against the project and the contradictory procedures undertaken for its implementation were kept forward.
